Recreational Soccer

U10 and U11 Boys and Girls born in 1998 and 1997:
At Under 10 and 11 our recreational program continues with Mini soccer, and games and practices are on separate days. For 2008, we will evaluate all players at the start of the season and then we will assign players with the primary goal of balancing teams. Our goal is to provide a fun game and practice environment.
Soccer Evaluations times and locations will be listed here in the future.

Question: When does soccer start?
Answer: Practices begin the week of May 19th and games will begin on May 26th.

Question: When will we know about teams for our children?
Answer: You will be contacted by the coach assigned for your child's team by May 15th, also keep watching this WEB site for updates. If you have not heard from your coach by then, please contact the Mini Director via email at: minidirector@cumberlandsoccer.com.

Question: On which nights do they play?
Answer: Under 10 Boys - Game Monday and Practice Wednesday
Under 10 Girls - Game Thursday and Practice Tuesday
Under 11 Boys - Game Tuesday and Practice Thursday
Under 11 Girls - Game Wednesday and Practice Monday

Question: What are the age categories?
Answer: Age categories are as follows. U10 Girls (1998)  U10 Boys (1998) U11 Girls (1997)  U11 Boys (1997)

Question: Where do the teams play?
Answer: The teams play in Orleans area. The exact location of fields can be found in our facility section of our website. (Go to Facilities page)

Question: Are there player uniforms?
Answer: In U10/U11 house league players are required to purchase uniforms which include two jerseys, shorts and socks. Prices and description can be found on the equipment page. A soccer ball is provided to each child and is the property of the player. The uniforms can be obtained and sized at the CUSC office on Taylor Creek.

Question: What equipment do we need (including cleats)?
Answer: Players are required to provide their own soccer shin guards (for sale at clubhouse), which must be worn at all games and practices. Soccer cleats may be worn by all ages. Please note that no body piercing, rings, hair clips or bracelets (excluding Medic Alert) are allowed to be worn on the soccer field. (NO EXCEPTIONS)

Question: Are eyeglasses safe?
Answer: The club strongly recommends that players who wear eyeglasses, for their own and other players safety, wear sports glasses during games and practices.
