There are three different levels of play for adults in the Cumberland United-Unis Soccer Club (CUSC). The Adult Competitive and Adult Recreational levels both play in the Ottawa-Carleton Soccer League (OCSL). The OCSL is a competitive league where all divisions require traveling to other parts of the city to play other Ottawa area clubs. The Adult house league level is operated within CUSC area and all games are scheduled to be played locally in the Orleans area.

In 2012, Cumberland will field teams in the following divisions. These divisions are dependent on registration numbers, and on some promotion decisions that still need to be made by the OCSL.

Generally speaking, players in the higher level OCSL Competitive divisions have played soccer at a relatively high competitive level for many years in Clubs and possibly at University or Community College. Those playing in lower divisions may also have that experience but neither the desire nor time to invest in training. Competitive division players must often devote time to two practices a week as well as games.

At the OCSL Recreational divisions the expectation is one practice and one game per week, and at the House league level the expectation is one game and an optional practice.

FOR Competitive and Recreational OSCL Teams:

REC ADULT TEAM FORM to be filled out by the REC ADULT TEAM CAPTAIN (click here)  Once it has been filled out it is to be emailed to admin@cumberlandsoccer.com.  Full payment of the team must occur before any registrations are input into the OSA database.

OCSL Competitive Divisions and ERSL U21:

There will be try-outs held for the 2012 Competitive teams. Further details on the dates, locations and times will be posted on the CUSC website adult page. A player must be registered prior to attending a try-out. The registration fee for these teams is $290.00 and includes a $20 non-refundable try-out fee if registered before May 1^st and $310 if on or after May 1^st..

Please note that every adult player in the OCSL is required to have a valid OSA player ID card with them at all games. These can be obtained through the EODSA website (www.eodsa.on.ca) .

OCSL Recreational Divisions:

The registration cost for the OCSL Recreational divisions is a set Team Fee of $3600 plus $25 EODSA fee per player if registered before May 1^st. and $45 if on or after May 1^st. Selection of players for these teams is made by the administrative staff on that particular team and not from CUSC. If you are interested in playing on one of these teams then please contact the Team Captain, or if you don't know them then contact Jessica Squires our Adult Director by sending an email to:  adultdirector@cumberlandsoccer.com .  (Note - you are not to register for these teams until you have been accepted by the Team Captain.) On the registration system you will register and pay the $25 EODSA fee up front and then the rest of the fees are collected by the Team Captain and paid to the CUSC directly. Please note that every adult player in the OCSL is required to have a valid OSA player ID card with them at all games. These can be obtained through the EODSA website (www.eodsa.on.ca) .

CUSC Developmental Divisions:

Discounted early registration fees of $175 for players who enroll in this Division before May 1^st and $195 on or after May 1^st.

Women’s 25 and Older (born in 1987 or later): Games are played on Sunday nights at 6:00PM or 6:30PM and they are normally at the Millennium fields on Trim Road. The skill level and age level of this league is diverse ranging from 30 to 50 and includes both first time players and the more experienced.

Women’s Open (open to women born in 1993 or later): Games are played on Saturday mornings at 9:00 am and normally at the Millennium fields on Trim Road. The skill level and age level of this league is diverse ranging from 18 to 50 and includes both first time players and the more experienced.

Men’s Open (born in 1993 or later): Games are played on Friday nights at 6:00PM or 6:30PM and normally at the Millennium fields on Trim Road. The skill level and age level of this league is diverse ranging from 18 to 60 and includes both first time players and the more experienced.

Registration for these teams is $175.00 and the all registration is done thru the ONLINE registration system. Details and links can be found on the website under the registration tab.

These seasons run from the third week of May until the second week of September. Teams will be made and players will be notified in mid May.
