Winter Futsal Program

Program Description

This Program promotes the Long Term Player Development (LTPD) Stage 7: Active for Life.

Futsal is an indoor form of soccer, which can greatly improve players' summer soccer skills.  Futsal is played in 4v4 or 5v5 format in school gyms in the Orleans area, and is played with kick-ins, subbing on the fly, no offside and limited contact.  This is a great game for developing technical skills in players young and old.

Program Details

Level of Play:
  • Boys/Girls mixed (U6 to U7) - 4 players aside
  • Boys/Girls mixed (U8 to U9) - 4 players aside

* At these introductory ages, licensed game leaders and technical coaches from the club will run the games, which will consist of 2 x 20 minute halves.   Teams may be mixed from time to time, and no scores or standings are kept whatsoever.  The premise is on keeping the kids playing, as much as possible.

  • Boys (U10 - U12) - 5 players aside (2 x 25 minutes)
  • Girls (U10 - U12) - 5 players aside (2 x 25 minutes)

  • Boys (U13 - U17) - 5 players aside (2 x 25 minutes)
  • Girls (U13 - U17) - 5 players aside (2 x 25 minutes)
