Program Description

The Jr. Academy is the first stepping stone towards our academy programs and our "Talented player pathway".  The program is for the most focused, and dedicated players in our U5-U8 programs, and prepares players for the U9 Academy programs and beyond.

Players will work with some our club's most qualified coaches, and can expect to regularly work through small sided games, technical exercises (ball mastery), physical literacy (strength, speed, coordination, balance, general athleticism), and 1v1 exercises.

Jr. Academy players are also heavily encouraged to join the Futsal league, which they can join for 50% of the regular cost.

Program Details

Sesaon Length:

Twice weekly training sessions with Academy coaches and staff for 60-75 minutes.

One of these weekly session is covered by the base registration for the U5-U8 Winter Grassroots pre-academy program and will run adjacent to that program each week.

The second session is with only the Jr. Academy players and will be run by Academy staff and the most talented technical coaches from our club.

Competitive festivals will be played against other clubs in the region at least twice during the winter season.

Players are also encouraged to join the Futsal League which will be available to them at $75 per player for the season (nearly a 50% discount).

Player Assessments:

Players will be evaluated through the U5-U8 Winter Grassroots Pre-Academy program, and regular U6-U7 Developmental Summer program.

Players will be invited into the program mainly from these two programs, but the coaches may invite players into the program throughout the season, should they recognize the necessary passion and ability in any player at the club or beyond.

An additional fee of $270 will be required from those participating in the Jr. Academy program.

Player Requirements:

  • Players are required to wear protective shin guards and shoes at all games and practices. Soccer cleats are allowed and recommended at all age groups.
