Program Description

This Program focuses on the Long Term Player Development (LTPD) Stage 2: FUNdamentals and Stage 7: Active for Life.

In this program, Ottawa GK's will work on a weekly basis with our Academy goalkeeper staff.  Training will focus on technical development of each keeper, with emphasis placed on owning your area, proper diving techniques, 1v1 situations, dealing with crosses, reaction saves, effective distribution, as well as basic agility.

Our Director of Goalkeeping, Vladan Vrsecky, is a UEFA 'A' licensed coach and holder of the highly rated UEFA 'GK' Goalkeeper coaching license.  A former youth national teams member in the Czech Republic, he has played professionally for SK Dynamo CB and FC Pisek in the Czech Republic. 

Vlad is one of the most dynamic, qualified and talented goal keeper coaches in the province, and since joining the club in 2014 has already made a massive impact on the keepers in the club.
