Schedule for the U8 (Born in 2000) and U9 (Born in 1999)
Boys and Girls Tryouts
There will be TWO sessions that ALL U8 and U9 Boys/Girls should attend if possible.
Session 1 – Saturday, March 29, 2008
Session 2 – Saturday, April 5, 2008
Notes: Parents are not allowed past the White Fence located inside the Dome doors. Please remember that only water is permitted in the Dome area, this includes behind the White Fence.
1. All evaluations are being held at the Louis Riel Dome. (for directions visit this link: http//www.ottawalions.com/directions_eng.htm
2. Field # 1 is the closest to the door when you enter, Field #2 is the middle, and Field #3 is at the far end.
3. All U8 (Born in 2000) and U9 (Born in 1999) Boys and Girls attend at the time and Field location as indicated in the schedule, unless otherwise advised.
4. ALL Tryouts will be assigned at tryout time according to the players LAST NAME.
5. Parents and players are reminded that NO outdoor shoes are allowed in the field and track area (beyond the White Fence). Please remain behind the white fence. Players will be instructed to proceed to the selected field for tryouts at the times indicated in the schedule.
6. PLAYERS are reminded to STAY OFF THE TRACK, please walk on the side and ALWAYS yield to those RUNNING on the TRACK at all times.
7. ALL PLAYERS U8 and U9 Boys/Girls MUST HAVE ALREADY REGISTERED with CUMBERLAND UNITED SOCCER CLUB (CUSC) (see registration section on website). IF you are not registered, you cannot participate in the evaluations.
8. Please show up at least 15 minutes before your evaluation time, so you have time to dress (shorts, shirt, shin pads, socks and soccer shoes or clean running shoes). Register with the desk just inside the doors to the Dome and you will be given a Numbered Pinnie, please ensure you wear the Pinnie with the number on your back. All boys and girls should try to warm up before entering the field and when instructed go to the assigned field.

The exact times of the tryouts will be determined after the Session 1 tryouts are completed. You will be notified by Telephone, and/or email before Saturday April 5, 2008.
ADDITION INFORMATION for PARENTS on ALL U8 and U9 PROGRAM for the Summer Season:
The U8 and U9 Programs are divided into two Developmental Categories Blue (Advanced) and Gold (General). Additionally in the U9 Program we offer to the top 12 players an opportunity to play U9 Division 1 Cobra Soccer within the ERSL (Eastern Regional Soccer League). This team will not compete in our club Developmental (House League) schedule as they will have their own schedule within the ERSL.

Additional Costs Associated with the various Programs:
Game and Team Practice costs are included in your Registration Fee.
All SKILLS TRAINING is Extra and will carry an additional fee of $105 per player
In BLUE Level this is a MANDATORY, and in the GOLD Level this is OPTIONAL.
Parents who do NOT want the extra Skills Training may select the GOLD Level and this can be stated at Tryouts when registering (No additional cost).
If your son/daughter is selected for COBRA level (this is the entry level into the Eastern Regional Soccer League (ERSL), they will play other clubs in the regional at U9 Division 1 level they will not play Development (House League) teams). The top 12 players from U9 Boys and U9 Girls Programs will be selected to form one U9 Boys Division 1 Team and one U9 Girls Division 1 Team. You may wish to opt out of this level, please state at tryouts.
Extra Costs for COBRA level are mandatory. **(Team fee stated is approx. as this fee covers tournaments, team activities, etc, actual Team Fee will be determined by the team.)
All EXTRA Costs are payable before the beginning of the season.
